Licensure
Professional massage training is legally required to practice massage in Arkansas.  If you are currently practicing licensed massage in another state, please contact the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy to find out what they  require for you to receive an Arkansas License.

Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy
Requirements for Licensure
Proof of US citizenship (or copy of green card)
Proof of age (must be at least 18 years old)
Proof of high school diploma (or GED)
Two passport size photos
Three character references
Physician's statement of good health (including TB test)
Cashier's check or money order, payable to Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy
and
Completion of the following course of study at a state-accredited school of massage:

     225 hours of Technique
     25 hours of Hydro-, Electro-, and Heliotherapy
     25 hours of Massage Law, Ethics, and Business
     25 hours of Hygiene and Infection Control
     25 hours of related subjects as approved by the board
